WESTMATIC CORPORATION COMPLETES THE BUFFALO NIAGARA PARTNERSHIP'S BUY LOCAL CHALLENGE FOR SECOND CONSECUTIVE YEAR

Buy Local Challenge 2014

Westmatic demonstrates its corporate citizenship by supporting the local economy.

BUFFALO, NY - (June 26, 2014) -Westmatic Corporation completed the Buy Local Challenge for a second year, reiterating its commitment to buying local and furthering their impact on the regional economy.  The Buy Local Challenge is a part of the Buffalo Niagara Partnership's Buy Local Initiative, which aims to encourage reinvestment in the Buffalo Niagara regional economy and local sourcing.

In order to complete the challenge, a company is required to make a first-time purchase of a product or service from a local vendor, within the eight counties of the Buffalo Niagara region, during the year 2014.  Once the company has purchased the product or service from a local vendor, the business must inform the Buffalo Niagara Partnership of the transaction, where it is then placed under review.  Once the Partnership reviews the transaction and verifies its legitimacy, the business has completed the Buy Local Challenge.

To complete the 2014 Buy Local Challenge, Westmatic made a first time purchase through Pacline Overhead Conveyors in Buffalo, NY.  Pacline Overhead Conveyors supplied Westmatic with a cable trolley, a component for a brand new bus wash system Westmatic developed for Transit Buses, the Lightning Rollover.  The Lightning is an overhead driven, "gantry-style" automatic bus wash system that can wash a 40 foot bus in less than 70 seconds.

Westmatic Corporation is a pro-local manufacturer of Automatic Large Vehicle Wash systems designed to wash buses, trucks, trains, and other heavy duty equipment.  Founded in Sweden in 1974, Westmatic is celebrating 40 years of business this year.  Since building its North American headquarters in Buffalo, NY, all Westmatic equipment complies with the Federal Transit Administration's Buy America requirements.  Find out more about Westmatic Corporation at www.westmatic.com, or follow along on Facebook and Twitter.
